Research Manager, EVIHDAF, Cameroon
Dr Emma recently joined EVIHDAF as Research Manager. She is a French and English-speaking medical doctor trained at the University of Yaoundé I, specialized in international health and tropical medicine at Charite Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany. Dr Emma has over four years of experience working as a medical doctor in rural areas and at the national referral hospital for mother and childcare in Yaoundé (HGOPY). Furthermore, she has experience in designing, implementing, evaluating research, and disseminating findings of hospital-based structures (funded by the World Bank) and community-based research (funded by the World Bank and other German donors like GIZ while working as junior project manager at Health Focus GmBH headquarters in Potsdam, Germany) in women’s health, livelihoods and infectious diseases conducted in Central African counties. She is skilled in qualitative and quantitative research methods and committed to using these to accelerate the achievement of universal health coverage and to reduce gender inequities.
